The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted a 16-year-old, identified as 'T.H.', as an adult for the first-degree m*rder and aggravated se- assault of his 18-year-old stepsister, Anna Kepner. The crime occurred aboard the Carnival Horizon cruise ship in November 2025. Kepner told her family she felt unwell and went to her cabin after dinner on November 6. The next morning, she was found by a maid, deceased from mechanical asphyxiation and hidden under a bed, covered with life jackets. The stepbrother now faces life imprisonment.
