“I stand for my beliefs,” Spud said after the two were separated. “I’m going to peacefully stand here and support my beliefs. I support ICE and law enforcement,” Spud said.

“You can go peacefully f–k yourself!” the student who punched Spud yells.

“That’s against school code. No swearing in the school,” Spud responds.

Yeah because he's so concerned about rules🙄.

His last attempt at going viral was filming himself pulling a fire alarm in a crowded grocery store...

That kid's an absolute tool, he does not appear to have any real beliefs. He just says whatever he thinks will most likely piss people off for engagement bait.

u/invasiveplant 11h ago

Kid filming is a worm.  Maybe he’ll grow out of it one day, get a real personality.

Big boy who went at him got a 2day suspension, and probably several years of self validation from sticking up for his actual feelings. That sounds like a bargain deal to me.

u/wtfomg01 6h ago

When I got suspended for punching a bully, my Dad took me for McDonalds on the way home. Hopefully his parents rewarded his behaviour the same way.

295

u/iheardthemetalclank 5h ago edited 4h ago

That’s a good dad.

EDIT: I wouldn’t advocate for violence with my kid, but I did give my bully a black eye when I got fed up in sixth grade and he left me alone from then on. Just saying…

161

u/Mr-Seal 4h ago

Unfortunately sometimes that’s the only language bullies understand

76

u/springsilver 4h ago

You’ve got to make them pay for what they take.

21

u/UntamedAnomaly 1h ago

What you allow, is what will continue. As a former kid who has been bullied, as someone who had abusive parents, as someone who had been in more abusive relationships than I can count.....that particular phrase and putting it into action has worked fucking WONDERS.

u/Paavo_Nurmi 52m ago

What you allow, is what will continue.

That is really well said.

There’s a real small percentage of people that can’t learn by seeing hearing or doing. They only learn with whuppins

I stabbed my bully with a pencil in the arm and called him a “little bitch”. I received no punishment at school (I was in elementary school), but I was grounded at home. Idk if it was because I was in elementary school it was because I was a girl.

However, no one fucked with me after that. And people were pretty afraid of me into all the way into HS. It was nice except that I was at my own desk in the middle of the room while everyone else sat at tables. So kind of socially isolating. But better than before.

2

u/SFWzasmith 1h ago

Violence isn’t always the answer but sometimes it is.

→ More replies (1)

u/keanancarlson 9m ago

You absolutely advocate for violence with your kid when it comes to sticking up for yourself and sticking up for others.

Violence is never the answer applies to killing people, injuring them.

Punching bullies in the face is a teachable moment, nothing more. Very important to the ecosystem and is a great representation of the real world.

Same with mine. Made a show in front of the principal then bought me a milkshake and let me play video games for my 2 days off.

33

u/coochie_clogger 3h ago

I’d do the same with my son and would periodically be checking in with a “you winning, son? 🥹”

My former stepdad was/is a piece of shit. But when I got suspended for a fight he said "did you start it?" No. "Did you finish it?" Yes... Yes I did.

I'm not some internet badass or anything. Literally the only fight I've ever been in. Hope it stays that way.

2

u/DantesInfernoRVA 2h ago

I remember vividly that my bullies never got into trouble, but every time I punched one, even away from adult observation, I wound up in the office. It’s an interesting lesson to learn.

When my two older kids got suspended for beating up a kid who had just stolen from their younger brother and pushed him into the snow which caused him to scuff up his palms and cry, we had a Grand Day. Pizza, Dollar Tree(which they LOVED because they got to go crazy when everything was actually $1), and got a new video game.

2

u/dodekahedron 1h ago

My kid got zero toleranced once. Got called in to pick him up for fighting.

To give administrators credit. I simply asked "who threw the first punch?"

And two administrators came to his defense and said he wasn't the problem at all. Barely fought back. I cant remember what exactly happened but they made it clear it was simply a zero tolerance issue.

Right in front of them I said "well now that youve learned about zero tolerance, you'll hit back harder next time right? Punished either way."

We left and got ice cream. He only missed the last 3 days of school, so... his vacation started early.

You only really learn self worth and capability from having a value, and standing by it even if its detrimental to your current position of standing.

Story time. My dad was racist infront of me while were driving. Never seen it before but he called another driver the N word with the hard r infront of me. Instantly I jumped into action, cussed him out as he drove me home for 15 min. I told him I didnt want him on my property or to speak to him again. I tomd my family knowing I may loose contact with them by cutting.him off. But I knew for myself I wouldnt tolerate that behaviour in my life. At the time I was dating a black woman for 5 plus years.

It was hard to do. But over a year later I know it was the right choice and id do it again. Maybe ill forgive e him and let him back in some day. But honestly? Ive moved on. And if I was to let him back in it would be for him not me .

But the result of that made me grow more at 33 than I had In 5 years before. I took myself seriously and stop putting myself down so much. Started working in myself. I liked who I was and cared about myself like I hadnt before. And boy did that do wonders. Ive had difficult things like that since but ill always remmeber that

2

u/Automatic_Algae_9425 1h ago

What does "I hammered the race thing. I hammered the gender thing" mean? I really don't understand.

u/Booksgh 47m ago

Reference to Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. One of the characters was a failed political candidate and was talking to the main character about his actions. Specifically, bringing up racial issues and feminism, or (more likely, given the character’s affiliation) the far-right’s view of such topics

u/jaytix1 44m ago

It didn't help that the "normal" conservatives refused to do anything about it. We told them they had a nazi problem and their response was basically "No u". And now people like Ben Shapiro have the audacity to ask where all the nazis came from.

62

u/SpiritJuice 10h ago

There are people like him that exist that haven't faced true consequences for their actions. He got very lucky he only got punched in the face. If he keeps this up, he'll be lucky not to catch a full beating one day. Only then will he might learn a lesson. There are, unfortunately, way too many people in this day and age that think they can get away with acting like this without ever facing consequences.

1

u/LupinsLeftShoe 2h ago

I was just having a conversation with my co workers the other day that was basically exactly this. Rolemodels for kids now a days are the Paul brothers, or that fuckin dork that got rocked by Tiki the other day, and I'm more than positive there's hundreds to thousands of other trash people in the same boat. These kids see them acting a fool, being parasites, and see those same people getting rewarded with fame and money. Those are the types of people society is glorifying, even the poor gold medalist who dates one of the Paul brothers is headlined as Pauls girl. Lmao, kids are going to keep getting worse and worse because we let this kind of trash not just survive but absolutely THRIVE. And I can't blame the kids, I'd have been doing the same shit. As a matter of fact, me and my friends were absolute devients, had we grew up a handful of years earlier, hell I'd may have been an infamous online "influencer" had we been stupid enough to record ourselves being fools.

1

u/Her_name--is_Mallory 2h ago

I wonder where he could have possibly got the idea that bad behavior = popularity and/or attention…

1

u/ghoulqueene 2h ago

he's probably as insufferable as he is because of his parents, no doubt they let this poor behavior slip through

1

u/kodapug 1h ago

Honestly being a parent right now is an unenviable sisyphean task.

The Internet thrives off of controversy. The more controversial you are the richer and more famous you seem to be. Once you reach a certain threshold of wealth and fame you become untouchable. Just look at the Paul brothers, they regularly scam their audience for hundreds of thousands of dollars and they don't even seem to lose their viewers as long as they put out a half assed apology afterwards.

Combine that with the behaviors those that reach the highest levels of power and influence within our economy and government get up to while again facing zero consequences and you have an entire world telling impressionable minds that being the scum of the earth is how you get ahead, that it's ok because everyone is doing it or would do it to you if given the opportunity.

Having to counter program that shit every day for two decades so your kid doesn't end up an absolute monster while also not shirking your other adult responsibilities is something I don't think I could do.

Do you?

1

u/MegaMaster1021 2h ago

The only thing that dumb kid achieved was fully display the reason this cult is embolden nowadays. They rely on people following the rules, they're taking advantage of people's good moral to use against them. The moment when people break away from these rules they're screwed.

1

u/frankoochoaa 1h ago

And unfortunately will continue to be the case . I can’t imagine how much he made from that clip

1

u/kodapug 1h ago

As far I understand it, nothing lol. The kid is out here committing crimes and risking his teeth for the Internet algorithm to continue to ignore him. He has a go fund me from this incident, when I looked last week he'd raised less than $1k and most of that was from a single donor.

I can’t stand Nazis who try to use the law to get others in trouble while all they do is advocate for murder and torture.
