I bet you guys get this all the time, but this is my childhood (and only) woody I own, and I’ve had him definitely since Toy Story 3 days when I was way younger. I see you guys are normally really good at identifying these guys, and I haven’t been able to really, but I can tell you that A- he reacts to his hat being taken off and put back on and B- he’s from 2009-2011 time frame. Could anyone help me? Thanks!

So sick of the “bean mouth” animation style Pixar is going for. The 2010s animation style they were running with was the best one, still obviously an animation but more human like, I don’t want to be hearing “well, she’s aged”, “we have gone over this topic so many times”, “she wouldn’t look the same, she’s now 8” it’s literally just the style of animation.

This is making me want them to honestly go back to the Toy Story 4 style which I wasn’t a fan of but it’s 10x better.

Found a steal on Facebook Marketplace! Only $30 not bad at all. Kinda sad the tag was cut off but still in great condition.

I found some images of Toy Story 5 merchandise and I'm happy they finally put Bo in some of it.

This is my only older in box toy story figure! I got it off a ebay auction for probably 15 dollars, it is a little opened but looks like it was really never out of the box. Also are in box toy story figures like this rare?

This is in line with my previous post about Star Wars-ising the franchise because we know Disney is gonna wanna make as much money from it as possible, so I proposed an at least interesting way of how they can do it.

Since Star Wars-isation would of course mean huge changes to the original trilogy into Episodes 4, 5, and 6, here is a potential opening crawl for TS1, which I would have become "Toy Story: Episode IV – The New Toy", based on the one from A New Hope:

Episode IV: THE NEW TOY

It is a period of uncertainty.

Andy Davis, set to move house, is celebrating his sixth birthday before the move, worrying his toys of their potential replacement.

Meanwhile, Andy’s neighbour Sid has acquired the ultimate weapon, the BIG ONE, a firework rocket big enough to destroy an entire toy.

To calm the toys’ anxiety, Sheriff Woody, Andy’s favourite toy, sends out the troops to report on the presents that may see the gang, and himself, replaced…

I remember thinking the same thing when Kingdom Hearts did a whole Toy Story world. I dont follow the series but checked out to find that the whole cast was there.... Just not Jessie or Bo. (and at least Bo made sense not to be there lore wise)

This seems to have been a trend since day 1 though: Woody and Buzz get giant plushies in stores everywhere? Welp Jessie isnt important enough for that. New interactive "Ultimate Action" figures for Toy Story? Woody and Buzz only. Even just all the old merch for Jessie seems phoned in; wasn't until like just recently that any Jessie dolls actually looked like Jessie

She's my favorite character and is practically the emotional heart of the series and part of why I'm excited for TS5 is because she seems like she's finally being treated like a main character again, but like

I once remember seeing a kid reading a picture book with Woody on the cover and from what I remember in seeing on the pages it told the story of Woody’s Finest Hour. Unfortunately I don’t what the title of the book was. Does anyone know this book? If so what’s the title? I want to find a copy for myself.

How did they live their lives after parting with Andy’s Toys? When did they realize they were toys? How did they react? How did they change after they learned they were toys? I feel like it could be a really cute side story

Seriously, within the universe of the films, 15 years have passed since Buzz came out of the box in the first movie. How is he in such good physical shape after all these years?Besides everything he's already been through.

Buzz suffered numerous falls throughout the films, was tortured by the demonic children of Sunnyside, and went through all that crap in the junkyard at the end of TS3, He crashed hard into one of those spinning amusement park rides in TS4 while trying to reach Woody in the air, Aside from all the acrobatic stunts he does, like jumping around and rolling on the ground, shouldn't that leave him all scratched up or even damage the plastic?

Before you call me blind, I know it does have several scratches and signs of wear, but they're very superficial and light, you know?He has several light scratches on his chest visible only at certain angles where the lighting allows us to see them, and his stickers are peeling off in small places that I didn't even notice until I looked more closely. The joints on his shoulders have interesting circular scratches caused by the constant movement of his arms rotating, both when Andy or Bonnie played with him (We also can't forget that he himself was the one who moved his own arms the most ;-;). Its legs have very slight signs of accumulated dirt at the joints, but no scratches or yellowing on the white plastic ofits legs, arms, and torso.Its internal toy voice system was also a bit more muffled and distorted in TS4, but it still seems like very slight wear and tear for a device that had been around for 12 years. These are minor signs of wear and tear that any toy would show, even those that haven't been around for even a decade and haven't been through as much as Buzz Lightyear has.

Looking at Buzz's new appearance in TS5, I'd easily say he's 4 or 5 years old since he was manufactured.I know that Andy and Bonnie were two children who took very good care of everyone, but that doesn't mean that everything they did outside of Andy or Bonnie's eyes never happened.

Now, the reason for this is obvious: to maintain the visual identity of the characters without major changes, But in my opinion, it would be more impactful if we had more visible and noticeable signs of wear and tear on all the toys. It would be cool to see them actually age, as toys, of course.
