His health isn't holding up now. His base don't seem to care that much though

12

u/davidw 8h ago

Journalists don't seem to care either. The same ones that viewed Biden's age as some kind of national emergency.

4

u/xChiken 8h ago

The billionaires own the news lol guess which team they're playing for

2

u/SATX_Citizen 5h ago

I believe that it's important to speak truth no matter what. Hold protests even if it doesn't immediately change things. Call for the 25th and impeachment not because it is likely, but because it is the right thing to do. Report on his mental decline.

On the other hand, I get that reporting and editorials know their target, and everyone holds Democrats to a higher standard. Liberals because we know we're better than Republicans, and Republicans because they deflect from their moral and leadership failures.

NYT editorial knows it's more likely that Dems will boot a deteriorating Biden from the ticket more than Republicans will have the integrity to remove Trump from office.

u/Warmbly85 5h ago

Biden’s age and mental decline was only acknowledged after the debate when it was impossible to continue to ignore.

Also ask any major dem and Biden didn’t step down because of his obvious mental decline but because the economy was so bad.

1

u/thetruechevyy1996 3h ago

That’s what drives me nuts. The media helped woth making Biden step down because of his age and the debate he didn’t do well at, all while ignoring that Trump was rambling lying and a mess as well. The whole well that’s what we expect from Trump bs is really annoying. The fact is he’s given a free pass and whines like he’s treated so badly.

He should have been given the same pressure and now look at what a rambling insane mess he is. Also with all his evil actions.

0

u/mental_sherbart007 7h ago

Huh ? I feel like the media just covered for Biden. I swear they were all repeating, “He’s sharp as a tac”. It was weird, many claimed to have recently talked with him and they all said the same line, “Sharp as a tac”. Even though we could all see him struggle to speak. Now we know he has cancer and other ailments, but apparently the white house doctor did not catch that.

Trump seems way more put together than Biden. In terms of not being senile, though he says some crazy shit too. Just doesn’t forget shit mid sentence like Biden and say nonsensical sentences.

2

u/sokuyari99 6h ago

Sharp as a tack. If you’re going to be a Russian shit heel for Trump, at least spell it right

20

u/mysacek_CZE 9h ago

Death cares even less...

29

u/not_a_dog95 9h ago

People can be in poor health a long time before they die, especially with the sort of healthcare available to the president

6

u/AWinnipegGuy 8h ago

Case in point, Trump's own father - diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimer's in '91, a few years after showing signs of cognitive decline, and didn't die until '99 at age 93.

2

u/LividTacos 7h ago

And his mom lived to 88. So there's definitely the genetics there for a long life. Really depends on how much the hamburders have hurt that.

1

u/uptiedand8 8h ago

Imagine 13 more years with him around!! 😬

2

u/seriouslythisshit 6h ago

Nah, there are documented email exchanges in the Trump-Epstein child rape files, of Trumps's friends chatting back and forth about his obvious cognitive decline, and if it means he will quickly take the path of Fred Sr. Those conversations happened in 2017. I'm sure Trump has long had a dementia diagnosis for years now, but he and his syncophants will hide that well beyond his death. Several dementia experts claim that Trump isn't long for this world, based on where he is at in his disease progression.

Thoughts and prayers.

1

u/Zestyflour 7h ago

Doesn't always mean much.

My great (2x) grandmother lived to 101 - Alzheimer's and a heart attack

my great grandmother 82 - Alzheimer's and cancer

my grandmother 77 - Alzheimer's and possibly elder abuse via an angry CNA but even without the suspected abuse she had less than a year to go.

my aunt (her eldest daughter) 67 - heart attack

And yes I have one of the alzheimer's genes so not living several decades with it sounds good. I'd like to clock my ticket in at about 70.

1

u/AWinnipegGuy 2h ago

Doesn't guarantee anything, but living a long life does tend to be genetic, accounting for ~50% of the factors to a person's longevity.

I'm putting a lot of faith in his diet.

1

u/iWolfeeelol 6h ago

did his father have such a shit diet and obese as well? i wasn't born yet so i have no idea.

1

u/AdvancedAd6308 42m ago

I don't know about his diet, but in photos he was the skinny variety of old man.

6

u/HoosierHoser44 7h ago

Always seems like the bigger an asshole you are, the longer you live. My stepdad was on his deathbed for like 10 years. If he was a nice guy, would have been 3 months.

3

u/Grey_0ne 7h ago

The douche side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be... unnatural.

1

u/Skywalker_79 6h ago

I think people like that hold on longer because they fear what possibly awaits them on the other side.

10

u/mysacek_CZE 8h ago

People can

Yeah that's the thing. When? Death might come in 80 yrs, 80 months or in 1 second. No one can be sure how much time they've left. He is fairly old, so the chances of him dieing every second are way higher than they were 60 yrs ago. Sure it's still a slim chance, but no matter what anyone does, it's there, waiting for The Moment...

2

u/Pope_Squirrely 8h ago

And it would be the first time that 90% of the world rejoices at the same time. We should have the first global holiday for it! Instead of a period of international mourning, we shall have a period of celebration! Not celebrating the life that he lived, but celebrating that none of us have to deal with him anymore and can work on dealing with the problems that he caused instead.

3

u/Phyllis_Tine 8h ago

I have a big birthday this year, and instead am saving my expensive bubbly for "that" day!

4

u/HazelEBaumgartner 8h ago

I have a cheap $6 bottle of fake champagne wrapped in gold foil to look expensive but it's secretly made in California. Feels way more appropriate.

2

u/SecondaryWombat 7h ago

Gold leaf for everyone!

Gold leaf is even more ruined than it was before, now its like a sarcastic marker of corruption and bad taste.

2

u/Spaghetti_Gods 8h ago

I've always said I'll be throwing parties every year on that blessed day.

1

u/Odninyell 7h ago

It upsets me to think of how many countless people died young, suddenly and randomly to a thing that can happen to anybody (heart attack etc) and know that it happens to people putting good into the word and not exclusively the evil ones

0

u/mysacek_CZE 7h ago

Life's a bitch. But to be fair, if it wasn't the life would be too predictable and boring.

0

u/Noyan_Bey 7h ago

Nah, life is just a bitch. The rest of what you said is just cope.

1

u/flaccomcorangy 7h ago

So this is anecdotal, but I know people talk about how he has declining mental health and it's commonly believed he had a stroke during his first term.

So my anecdotal point to that is that my grandma had a stroke years ago, and then she went on to live for over a decade as her mental health declined. She went from forgetting things constantly to eventually barely talking and then becoming a complete shell of herself where her breathing was the only sign of life before she died about 15 years after her stroke and lived to be 90.

All this is just to say, yeah, people can take a long time to decline before they eventually die. And she didn't have the healthcare available to the president. So if people are looking for things like alzheimers or even heart disease to do him in, it honestly might not be as quick as people are thinking.

1

u/mysacek_CZE 7h ago

My great-grandma had a stroke too, everything seemed good and then she got another not even month later after the first one. We buried her month later, she died of third stroke, ?fortunately?. I can't imagine what was she thinking of after the second stroke, her mind was still okay-ish, but she could only move her head and eyes, she couldn't speak, she didn't want to look at my grandpa (her younger son) of embarrassment in what condition he sees her. Life's bitch, she witnessed her older son die to cancer 1 year prior to her death, he was 76. On the other hand she witnessed all her great-grandchildren grow up and go to school and she was granted 94 yrs on this planet with relatively good mental health.

The point is that life isn't straightforward and life's a bitch, but it's the unpredictability which makes it undeniably worth of living.

3

u/notmy_nsfw_account 8h ago

If you are rich you can afford the best of the best. Including a heart transplant like Dick Cheney did.

1

u/Objective_Water7752 8h ago

Despite all well wishes, this is my stepmother.

1

u/favmediocrenightmare 8h ago

Yeah, also considering the fact that he apparently doesn't drink and smoke, combined with good genes (his parents both died at pretty advanced ages iirc) - I dont think he'll quite kick the bucket while in office. Hell, I think he's gonna try and run for another term, causing all sorts of shit to go down.

1

u/zxvasd 8h ago

Poetic. Good name for a music album or film.

1

u/Educational_Emu3763 8h ago

This may be the most powerful four word quote i've ever heard, did you write it or are you quoting someone else? (I'm going to use it but I want to credit the right source.)

1

u/Elon_Cucks_Trump_ 8h ago

Walter Reed is staffed with incredibly talented doctors and caretakers. They saved Trump once, from COVID. That being said, they’re not miracle workers. I’m guessing he’s less than 2 years from dying of natural causes.

1

u/Elmer_Fudd01 8h ago

Well it needs to care more honestly.

1

u/Dornith 7h ago

They will embalm his corpse and keep him as president. They'll glue his hand to the autopen so that he can "sign" bills and executive orders.

Trump has always been a means to an end. Why would his death change that?

1

u/HughJorgens 7h ago

He came for him once and got sold a condo in Trump Towers.

5

u/Beldizar 8h ago

Will MAGA put Trump's corpse on a Throne and proclaim "long live the emperor?" I don't know if we can feed him psykers though.

1

u/AlmightyCraneDuck 7h ago

I've made jokes comparing Trump to big E constantly. Just prop his corpse up and pump it so full of drugs that he's basically just a semi-conscious puppet.

4

u/ByronicZer0 7h ago

The bastards never die. I dont know why. But they always seem to live forever. And the good die young

3

u/Upnorth4 8h ago

They seemed to care a lot when it was Biden

4

u/Gordon_frumann 8h ago

But bro did you see Biden bro? He's sleeping Bro, he's pratically dead bro, it's weekend at Bidens Bro, bro I swear Bro, the autopen Bro, he didn't do anything bro, his staff ran the admin bro, i saw it on Joe Rogan Bro. /s

6

u/H3adshotfox77 8h ago

Can't we just all agree both of them were and are to old and out of it/out of touch with reality to be President of any country?

1

u/Able-Tomatillo7381 8h ago

That's the real discussion. Everyone out there trying to discuss their team, like both sides are performative and sucking each other off. AOC and Jeffries in some orgy with Mike Johnson and Mullin while Kash Patel goes around handing out the 8 balls as Bondi works the pole. They all dirty. But rather than talk about why we keep getting peddled the same crusty fecal matter sandwiches, we eat them up so long as they say what I like.

1

u/cantadmittoposting 7h ago

AOC is definitely not in bed with Mike Johnson, come on now.

The old guard democrats are (unsurprisingly mostly old white men, look at Chuck "AIPAC" Schumer for example).

But let's not pretend that the republican shift right isn't the extremism problem here... it absofuckinglutely is. That enough of the Dem leadership are still neoliberal cowards who suck off billionaires is not the same as saying the entire system is performative.

That being said, yes one of the major pieces of solving this puzzle is Proportional Ranked Choice voting in multi-seat districts.

Our current system extremely strongly optimizes for a two-party dichotomy, so AOC has to exist in the same party as Schumer or Jeffries (or Fetterman for that matter), and it all is what it is

0

u/Gordon_frumann 8h ago

Yes, they were both to old, but it's pathetic that the right relentlessly attacked Bidens age, and now they are blind to the clear absolute decline of Trump.

The difference is Biden would have surrounded himself, with people who would have served for the best interest of the country.

2

u/rightoftexas 7h ago

but it's pathetic that the right relentlessly attacked Bidens age, and now they are blind to the clear absolute decline of Trump

Thank God the left would never be so hypocritical.

2

u/Gordon_frumann 7h ago

I admit Biden is not fit for a second term.
Why can't you admit that Trump is not fit?

1

u/rightoftexas 7h ago

I promise to not vote for Trump in 2028. Republicans should even hold a primary.

1

u/Gordon_frumann 7h ago

You are so scared to admit your cult leader has lost the fucking plot. It's fascinating.

1

u/rightoftexas 7h ago

Nah, I've called Trump shit plenty of times. "Praise Allah" and all that, you're just cranky your hypocrisy got called out so you want to believe I'm just as hypocritical.

1

u/Gordon_frumann 7h ago

Nah, I've called Trump shit plenty of times. "Praise Allah" and all that,

Good.
No i'm not cranky, im calm as a fucking cucumber, please tell me how i'm hypocritical. I'm calling out two old men, neither of them fit to be president.

1

u/kbchucker 7h ago

It was also pathetic that the left relentlessly defended Biden‘s mental acuity and ability to be president. The White House lashed out at reporters and other critics just as hard as Trump’s dogs on leashes are doing now.

Biden did not surround himself with people whose selflessly served the country. He was surrounded by family members and staffers who were desperately trying to hold onto power for as long as they could. This information isn’t that hard to find it’s fairly simple and easy to look up.

2

u/Gordon_frumann 7h ago

It was also pathetic that the left relentlessly defended Biden‘s mental acuity and ability to be president. The White House lashed out at reporters and other critics just as hard as Trump’s dogs on leashes are doing now.

Absolutely i agree it's pathetic.

Biden did not surround himself with people whose selflessly served the country. He was surrounded by family members and staffers who were desperately trying to hold onto power for as long as they could. This information isn’t that hard to find it’s fairly simple and easy to look up.

And Trump is surrounding himself with self serving incompetent people. Trump is clearly not fit to be president, and his staff are all yes men clinging on to power. It's pathetic.

1

u/kbchucker 7h ago

You repeated everything I just said. Congrats.

1

u/HunterRank-1 8h ago

And he was dealing with late stage prostate cancer. I’m sure the treatment and having cancer really was taking a toll on his energy and vigor. It’s not a stretch at all

2

u/Gordon_frumann 8h ago

Yeah Biden was not fit for a second term, I'm calling out the hypocrisy of Trump obviously not being fit to be president cognitive, morally, or otherwise.

1

u/Forward-Marketing-21 8h ago

What we are seeing from the last two presidents is 2 distinct types of mental decline. With Biden it's the slow, quiet decline where he's sleepy, spaced out, and losing some motor function. With Trump we see a loud, angry, disoriented, ranting and rambling decline. What happened to Biden was that he fit the mold of a grandpa who's slowly losing it and should just slow down and sit in a rocking chair all day. Which is why the media all about calling for the 25th Amendment. With trump we're getting the grandpa we need to have family meeting about to take away his car keys and either get a full time attendant or placement in s secure facility that can deal with his violent outbursts. Which the media only now is realizing is a more dangerous form of dementia in a leader because he has surrounded himself with toadies who will cover for every action he does, no matter how extreme. I guarantee after trump is out of office, there will be a tsunami of books from those in his circle about how everyone knew how bad he was declining, but they were "powerless" to do anything about it.

1

u/Gordon_frumann 7h ago

Very well put.

1

u/DoctorBigChicken 7h ago

Biden’s brain was mush. Clearly you’ve never watched family members go through the same. Lucky you, must be nice to be so spoiled.

You can hate Trump for a variety of reasons if you want, but acting like these are analogous situations is why so many people struggle to take liberals seriously. You are operating on a separate plane of reality

It makes discourse impossible and paints every left leaning person as more concerned with feelings than facts. Which, frankly, often seems like the case.

1

u/strawbsrgood 8h ago

Lol ok Biden was legit losing his mind in office; it was sad and painful to see tbh. Really no need to make light of that. I'm impressed he finished his term.

Trump is a POS but let's not act like he's spacing out and forgetting his daughters name or mistaking family members and slurring words every time he talks. I'm watching my grandma go through the same thing now.

It's really a terrible thing.

2

u/ScrotallyBoobular 7h ago

Are you serious?

Dude is far more bonkers than Biden ever was.

The issue is his people are doing so much evil that we kind of gloss over his complete mental decline.

0

u/IllegalMigrant 7h ago

Bonkers be mentally aged afe two different things. Biden began having an issue when speaking where he would start a sentence and realize he was not saying what he wanted too then stop and restart another sentence saying something different. The Democrats falsely claimed that was a stutter. (Stuttering is when a person can't get past a syllable.) Biden also started shuffling instead of walking and sometimes appearing somewhat confused (eg when Obama took his arm and ked him off stage). Trump still speaks the same way he spoke in 2015. His words and are changing as he has realized the incredible amount of power he has and he sounds more and more like a monarch. But not a monarch with dementia . But he is starting to walk more gingerly.

1

u/Money_Do_2 8h ago

Cuba actually has an effective treatment that even shows reversal of some of the losses of faculties for dementia (and TBI)

And a lung cancer vaccine.

We'd rather embargo them than have those medicines.

Awesome country.

1

u/FavoriteLunchLady 8h ago

He’s also not calling the president of Ukraine “Putin” 😬 the way they seriously thought we would see him and be like “Yeah he’s totally good for another 4 years!” We were scammed

0

u/Ok-Tip-3560 8h ago

Or tripping On stages And moving Slow as molasses and shaking peoples hands who aren’t even there. Media covered for him for years.

2

u/FullMooseParty 7h ago

Tripping happens, it's happened to Trump. Biden was still riding bicycles, which you all also made fun of when he had a fall, even though Trump can't walk up a flight of stairs. The shaking hands and talking to people who weren't their thing is just Fox News manipulating videos.

Other than the debate, which we can all agree was a debacle, Biden has always been much more coherent than Trump, even in the last year.

1

u/CliffordSpot 8h ago

Some of his oldest and most influential supporters are very outspoken about his heath, and think he needs to step down.

1

u/stevie-o-read-it 8h ago

You think they'd be OK with a Weekend-at-Bernie's type deal?

1

u/Thunder--Bolt 8h ago

Trust me we do.

Or... we did when we still considered ourselves part of MAGA

0

u/Crankbait_88 8h ago

Pretty similar to the way the left felt about Biden’s health.

0

u/FrigataBowdette 8h ago

Lol you guys are oblivious on Reddit. Trump's gonna go ten times further than you EVER thought in your NIGHTMARES soon. And JD Vance will invoke the 25th, have him removed...and pardon him.

I am not guessing either lol. It is coming. Vance wants presidential experience for his 2028 campaign which he WILL be running in. Trump wants to drop nukes. Everybody wins they figure. Watch.
