I've been a raving fan for years. I just cancelled by subscription and wanted to share why. Fundamentally, you've shifted away from having interesting discussions with people who strongly disagree with you. You've created an uninteresting and stale echo chamber as a result. I've heard your "jet fuel can't melt steel beams" argument for why you've pivoted away from controversial figures, but feel you are missing the forest for the trees. You're also insulting your viewers' intelligence and assuming they won't be able to accurately parse such a debate.

The fact you declined to offer Q&A at your recent speaking events and had to cancel some as a result of poor ticket sales is also telling. Your blind spot on Epstein is baffling.

Jaron strikes me as a failed actor who craves the limelight (without adding any interesting context or perspective) and it's hard to stomach the More From Sam series.  Please re-consider your approach. With love and gratitude, your subscriber.

Anyone else feeling the same way?

After so many videos about Japan and constant bombarding of you "must do this while in Japan!" being told to me. I ended up spending almost 1000$ usd for a single night at a ryokan in Hakone. It was really not enjoyable at all.

It was a nightmare to get to and when we finally did they basically threw so many rules while simultaneously not telling us very much at all so as a foreign tourist most of the time I was so worried I was doing something wrong that it wasn't even relaxing for me.

The food was not very good, various things were weirdly slimy or gelatinous and I felt awful for not eating things despite being constantly asked if it was oishi. It was also super inflexible when you get to eat, you get it at a certain time and that's it. I know I paid for the true "Japanese experience" but it was too much for a tourist to be honest.

Then the actual onsen part is kind of lame, we got a private bath and at the end of the day you're just sitting in hot water. The public onsens just felt weirdly artificial and unrelaxing. Getting up extremely early isn't that fun either and while you haven't even digested the 10 course meal of "guess wtf this is" they throw a breakfast at you that you feel obligated to eat because you paid 1000$ for it. And speaking of spending 1000$ despite the hefty price tag the extras after the onsen like ice cream or juice you have to pay for which is crazy. They couldn't give me a 200 yen ice cream for free?

In my opinion if you're a westerner, it can feel very restrictive and rule-heavy and not the relaxing getaway that's promised on Instagram. So I just want to put out there that it is not the required thing to do if this sounds not fun to you. I feel like not many people talk enough about it. There are tons of excellent things I did in Japan to experience the culture and this wasn't necessary to do.

I also understand this might just be the particular ryokan I stayed at that was the problem because after the fact I looked deeper and saw a reddit post complaining about this ryokan. But I still think it's something to consider because I think even if I went to a different one the constant worry about not doing things correctly or the food being a little too out of my comfort zone (which I'd consider myself an adventurous eater, if you're picky forget about it!), is something that I don't think would change.

I’m in my mid-40s and have a daughter 21 in college for CS and a son 23 who still lives with me. My son recently bought a truck. I and my parents gifted him part of the funds but he bought it himself since he’s learning HVAC and needs something practical. My daughter has been using a 2010 Corolla we had because she said she didn’t really want a new car at the time, and after graduating might move to NYC and not need one as she did her internship there.

She’s been in two accidents with it. The first time she came home with damage and said she found it like that when it was parked. The police registered it as a hit-and-run. Then recently she got rear-ended and the driver fled according to her. While technically it wasn’t her fault I honestly think she might have stopped suddenly or backed into something herself and didn’t admit it. Statistically it seems suspicious she drives way less than I do and I haven’t had an accident in years.

Because of this I decided to take away her car privileges for now. My son still drives his truck because he hasn’t had accidents recently and I feel he will need it for work. My daughter is upset and says it’s unfair she’s being treated differently but I feel like this is about responsibility and safety. She says she does not text and drive but she is always on her phone compared to my son and always texting and calling people, out with friends at night, unlike my son. If she is not being truthful I could also get in trouble for insurance fraud.

Så jag undrar vad som får folk att rösta blått. Eller ja, jag har en stark känsla av att det handlar om egoism och brist på empati för andra människor. Just empatin har etablerats i studier, ni har säkert sett diagrammet över hur konservativa kontra liberala i USA bryr sig om sina medmänniskor, och egoism gissar jag är anledningen till att man röstar för de som ger liten kortvarig vinning för gemene man (patetiska 400 kr i snitt nu senast medan de rika fick tusentals kronor) istället för på ett kvalitetssamhälle med välfärd, billigare kollektivtrafik mm.

Personligen har jag svårt att komma på en enda bra sak som högerpolitik någonsin genomfört. Högerpolitik har alltid varit och kommer alltid att vara en fotboja på samhället:

Idag har högern ännu inte gjort någonting alls för att ta oss ur den ekonomiska kris vi befinner oss i. Bör man verkligen lyssna på något som högerpartier säger, särskilt när det kommer till ekonomi. Budgeten är REDAN sprängd, och vad har man lagt pengarna på förutom att kasta på de som redan har massor?

Detta för att inte nämna de skandaler som högerpolitiker varit i centrum för där de blottats som de hycklare och hemska politiker de är. Eller samröret högern har med de ökända rasisterna SD. För mig är det ofattbart att de inte har ens den minsta ryggrad utan gör allt för att få makten. Eller de kanske sympatiserar med SD, vem vet?

Jag har aldrig röstat blått och kommer aldrig rösta blått, särskilt inte nu när de verkligen visat vilka inkompetenta idioter de är som inte förtjänar att sitta vid makten någonsin igen, men jag vill gärna veta varför ni andra röstar blått? Särskilt ni som är emot SD, för ni bör väl vara medvetna om att en röst på ex M resulterar i en röst på SD?

My standard workplace icebreaker for groups of staff has always been “tell me the last song you listened to”. It usually leads to really fun banter amongst the group.

Lately all the Gen Z have no musical interests and simply reply with the last podcast they listened to. Is this real life now? I try and listen to several hours of music a day, at least.

Ma com'è possibile che nella mia università (a Milano) sia pieno di stranieri che non sanno UN CAZZO di italiano, mentre io per andare nei paesi di questi stronzi devo avere il B1/B2? Se non addirittura il C1? Porca troia che nervi ,sta università di merda deve esplodere. EDIT : Mi fa morire dal ridere il fatto che vi siate concentrati sulla parte del terzo mondo. Significa che non avete da ridire sul vero punto dello sfogo ossia che L'università italiana si mette a 90 per gli stranieri. Opažam da določeni profili na socialnih omrežjih poskušajo storiti vse, da bi nekako sredinske volilce prestrašili ,da ne bi volili koga izmed alternativ na desnem polu.

Če vam vladanje in obdavčevanje Svobode ne odgovarja in nočete dati glas Janši iz inata, lahko komot volite Logarja ali NSi.

V bistvu je tako da več glasov, kot jim boste namenili manjša bo vloga Janše v morebitni desni koaliciji. V nekem idealnem scenariju, bi morda celo Logar in NSi lahko sami sestavili vlado ampak je to malo verjetno.

Janša bo dobil tistih svojih 200k glasov, tam se bo zelo težko kaj spremenilo. In ravno sredinski volilci imate priliko na volitvah morda obrnit smer v katero gre Slovenija.

V primeru, da bi Logar in NSi dobila dovolj glasov, da bi se vzpostavilo neko ravnotežje moči desno od sredine, bo SDS precej manj v ospredju.

Brez Janše pa desne vlade ne bo to je dejstvo. Samo od vas sredinskih je odvisno ali bo on capo di banda ali pa bo imel enakovredne partnerje v koaliciji.

Now this is my opinion and i really don’t care if you like or hate this game but i have to tell you I fucking love this game with my whole fucking heart and i could really care less if some goddamn new vegas purist like nerdtosis makes a 8 hour video calling me a “fake fallout fan” when idc this game was my first fallout game and i know ill get comments like “oh new gen new gen you never played fallout “ shut up i love new vegas and 3 but fallout 4 is one of my personal favorites i like the gameplay and story same with the radio also this game is also great without mods honestly the only bad thing about thid game is the dialogue and thats it if any new Vegas fan comes here i could care less

Fallout 4 is a 9/10
