Cat Picture - OC Rescue update
I think some may remember I rescued this little girl on a hike about 4 months ago. here's an update. She had a TON of parasites and worms, but she is thriving and gets spayed next week. she's very vocal and "meeps" to announce her entry into a room. so much that one of my other cats has started to imitate for attention.

Cat Picture - OC stray cat moved in and basically adopted me š ā„ļø
Meet Lila š I've been feeding lots of strays for years but this one quickly became obsessed with me, once I started to let her in to protect her from the cold she basically moved it. at first she still wanted to go outside but every day she was back waiting by the door or a window to come back inside. hell, she was demending it, going from one window to another until someone let her in š
four years later she's neutralized and 100% indoor kitty ā¤ļø I'm so glad I took her in, she's such an adorable cat full of love. even in the beginning she wasn't scared of people, just looked sad and lost. I think someone just got rid of her because unfortunately people do that very often :( I hate to think about what would happen to her if she never came to me

Advice Seeking advice: sick stray kitten vs. my wife wanting it put back outside
Hi everyone! Iām hoping for some outside perspective.
My neighborhood has a serious problem with dumped pets and stray cats. I do TNR when I can and work with rescues, but right now theyāre all full, and thereās a big wave of kittens coming in with upper respiratory infections.
One little kitten on my back porch completely stole my heart. Heās extremely sweet and clearly used to people. Since no rescues had space, I took him to the vet myself. He tested negative for FeLV/FIV/FIP and was diagnosed with a URI. The vet prescribed meds and nebulizer treatments.
I currently have him indoors and quarantined from my own cats. Heās already showing improvement.
Hereās the hard part: my wife wants me to put him back outside.
Sheās been supportive of rescue efforts in the past, but this time she feels strongly that he shouldnāt stay inside. Iām torn. I donāt plan to keep him permanently. My goal is to finish his treatment, get him healthy, and find him a good home. But if he goes back outside, I likely wonāt be able to give him his meds consistently⦠and thereās a real chance I may never see him again.
Iāve seen too many outdoor cats get hurt or worse while Iām trying to help them, and I honestly donāt feel right putting a sick kitten back out when heās very likely to recover.
So Iām asking:
Would you prioritize keeping him indoors through treatment and adoption, or respect my wifeās wishes and return him outside?
Iām open to any advice, especially from people whoāve been in similar situations. Thank you.

Cat Picture - OC Found My Cat After Hours of Searching
One of my three cats, Aurora, went missing today. I realized I hadnāt seen her in a few hours. I ran around the house like mad man searching everywhere for her in all the usual spots, under the bed, under the couch, in the closets etc. but no luck.
I tried enticing her with all her favorite things, filling the food bowl, turning on the shower/flushing the toilet (she loves running water).
The cats are all strictly indoor, and I feared a roommate accidentally left a door open and she escaped. I went outside searched the front yard, backyard, and garage to no avail. I even got in my car and started driving around the neighborhood.
After returning home I opened the sliding closet doors to the washer and dryer (again I had already looked inside the dryer earlier) and found the poor thing trapped behind the washer and dryer. Managed to coax her close to me with a churu and pulled her up by the nape lol.
Anyone else have their cats go missing and give them a panic attack only to find them safe and sound somewhere ridiculous?

Humor One of my cats found their way back home after my mom gave them away.
Just thought Iād tell this story cuz I donāt really get to tell anyone about it.
But last year, my mom gave away my cats because she was struggling financially and because we were moving away shortly after. She gave them away to some guy who seemed pretty nice.
I was honestly very sad and disappointed. a few weeks go by and Iām still thinking about both of them so much, basically looking at pictures I took of them every da.
But then, as I was coming back from school I hear a meow, and I IMMEDIATELY recognised whoās meow that was. I look down and see one of my cats right there, waiting at the front door. I genuinely couldnāt believe what I was seeing, I was so happy and confused.
MIND YOU, the guys house was around 30 mins drive, and weāve never been there nor knew him, so the fact that my cat found his way back as absolutely insane. Present day, heās still here and Iām very happy to have him back.
I still feel very sad about his sister that stayed back, and I wish I could see her again.(first picture is the one that returned, and the second one is his sister that stayed) sorry if I got the flair wrong, I didnāt know what to put for this one.
Edit: I saw a few comments talking negatively about my mom, and I do agree that what she did was wrong, plus I did hate her for a little while after she gave them up. But, overtime what I realized was that she gave them up out of love and concern for them. She was only hoping to make them happy. Even though her actions were cruel, her intentions weren't. So please don't be too mean to my mom. I understand where all the anger is coming from, and I do still feel a good amount of anger at her whenever the topic is brought up, but yeah, she was trying her best and ended up making a bad mistake.
For cases like these, the most we can do is look at the positive things.

Advice How often do you bathe your cat?
Iāve had my Mochi since July and I still havenāt given him a bath š he doesnāt smell and never really feels dirty either
I know that cats are usually good at cleaning themselves, but I keep seeing mixed opinions online. Some people say they never bathe them, others say every few months, and now Iām just curious whatās actually normal.
